They came back together to help us get through COVID, and now the Zehu Ze! gang, with several guests, are performing a concert on Kan 11 on Thursday night to bring Israelis an hour of enjoyment during the horrible days of this war.

This show, which will be broadcast following the news on Kan 11, will then be available on the Kan website at kan.org.il

Zehu Ze!, the singing and sketch comedy group formed 45 years ago, features Moni Moshonov, Doval’e Glickman, Shlomo Bar-Aba, Gidi Gov, and Avi Kushnir. They will be joined on Thursday by the beloved Israeli singer, Rita, and together they will serenade an in-person audience of children from the towns near the Gaza border who suffered terribly in the attacks on Saturday that killed at least 1200 people.

The performance will feature special musical arrangements by composer/musician Amir Lekner, who will also play the piano and flute, as well as a number of other musicians.

Always there for us

Zehu Ze! has been there for us in good times and bad times, in old times and new times, and they are still here, still singing for us. Their show ran from 1978-1998 and returned in 2020, when they added the exclamation point to the name, and let’s hang onto that. Perhaps most of us won’t be able to laugh yet, but surely this musical performance will soothe some people and that’s all that anyone can try to do right now.
