Throughout Jewish history there was just one non-Jewish name adopted by Jews - Alexander, in the honor of Alexander the Great.

When Alexander the Great conquered the Holy Land, which belonged at that time to Persians ( nowadays Iranians) he treated Jews and Judaism with great respect.

The story goes that when Alexander asked High Priest Simon HaTzaddikk to place his golden image in the Holy Temple. The High priest replied that images were forbidden in Judaism and instead decreed that all male priests born that year should bear the name Alexander.

Today we fight a war of survival. Not with the Persians but the regime who took them hostage. The role of President Donald Trump is of greater value. As a form of gratitude we must include the name Donald in the list of Jewish names, as it was with Alexander the Great.
