Attend a noon concert of “Schumann at the Centre” with cellist Adi Varon, pianist Boaz Halperin, and pianist Itamar Feinberg as they start the program with Dances of the League of David (Davidsbündlertänze Op. 6), concluding with Arabesque in C Major Op. 18.

Enter the Yellow Submarine and take in the opening concert launching the album Happiness Is. Pianist Didi Elinson and guitarist Itay Sher, the duo Doya, had success with their first album, Revelation, and continue to inspire audiences with a unique, mellow sound in this, their second album.

SUNDAY, MARCH 1

Enjoy a performance of Don Pasquale by Gaetano Donizetti, with bass singer Yuri Kissin in the title role, and baritone Suchan Kim as Dr. Malatesta, in this lively comic opera, set in Rome.

The wealthy old bachelor Don Pasquale is set to wed a young woman. However, his friend the good doctor has thought of a funny ploy to make his chum see that young women are happier with young men.

Soprano Ayelet Cohen will perform as Norina, the young woman who will aid Malatesta in teaching this lesson.

Enjoy this musical evening at the Jerusalem Theatre with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. Multimedia segments from the Williamsburg Opera production will be featured.

MONDAY, MARCH 2

Watch the 1941 black-and-white classic film The Lady Eve, directed by Preston Sturges, with Barbara Stanwyck as Jean, and Henry Fonda as Charles. The film is a very witty comedy about a mismatched couple, Jean and Charles.
As Jean says in the film, “I need him like the axe needs the turkey.”

TUESDAY, MARCH 3

Flop down on a mattress at Mazkeka and mostly chill to the music of DJ Ofer Tisser at the Great Purim Calm Down. Patrons will be able to share what is on their minds and unwind.

THURSDAY, MARCH 5

Visit the YMCA and take in an “Introduction to the Magnificat” with the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra.

The program begins with Bach’s Chorale Prelude, BWV 648, powers through with Magnificat in the Ninth Tone by Dieterich Buxtehude, and concludes with Bach’s Aria and Chorale from the cantata Meine Seele erhebt den Herren BWV 10 (“My soul magnifies the Lord”). Patrons will be able to enjoy a unique introduction to the German tradition of the Magnificat.
