The IDF had been targeting anti-tank missile factories in Iran as part of its campaign against the Iranian regime, military spokesperson Brig.-Gen. Effie Defrin announced on Wednesday.

Defrin updated that around 50 fighter jets struck around 40 targets in the Tehran area related to the production of these missiles.

These missiles were transferred to Hezbollah for use against the IDF, in particular during the 2024 invasion of Lebanon.

The IDF also struck multiple targets in the Tehran area used to produce missiles and missile launchers, which were expected to be used against Israel.

The third target struck was the location of ballistic missile launchers.

Staying vigilant

Despite the success, Defrin urged citizens to remain vigilant and not fall into complacency.

"Alongside the achievements, it should be remembered that the Iranian regime still has significant capabilities, even if the number of launches is small, and complacency must not be allowed in any way. We must remain alert and vigilant.
