Despite a seemingly imminent US attack on Iran, IDF Spokesperson Brig.-Gen. Effie Defrin on Wednesday night said that there have been no changes to home front instructions.

Defrin warned the Israeli public to ignore any rumors spreading during this volatile period and to only pay attention to official IDF messages.

He reiterated prior messages that the IDF remains at its highest level of readiness to defend the country should Tehran use an American attack as an excuse to try to strike the Jewish state.

Further, he added that the IDF is carefully following all developments.

During the June 2025 Israel-Iran War, the IDF displayed the capability to shoot and destroy a large portion of Iran's ballistic missiles before they were even launched.

However, Israel is hoping to stay out of whatever conflict the US may be about to initiate with Iran on behalf of the protesters, to help them stand fast two and a half weeks into the demonstrations and several days after the regime killed thousands of Iranians protesters.

Given that position and Israel's early warning capabilities, the IDF hopes to maintain routine daily life despite any US-Iran conflict.
