The IDF completed the destruction of an approximately four-kilometer Gaza terror tunnel after the demolition process began around a year ago, the military stated on Sunday.

The underground tunnel, which was destroyed in cooperation with the IDF's Yahalom Unit, reportedly contained weapons and several rooms.

The IDF published footage of the demolition online.

In addition to the destruction of the terror tunnel, the IDF reported that last week, following an exchange of fire where troops from the 7th Brigade killed six terrorists in southern Gaza, the soldiers located equipment and weapons, including an explosive device, magazines, and five inactive rocket launchers, the IDF added.

They also found a manual containing instructions for preparing explosives, the military stated.

The IDF statement noted that the activity comes as 7th Brigade troops continue activities, in accordance with the ceasefire agreement, on the Israel-controlled side of Gaza’s Yellow Line.

Separately, Israeli fire killed two Palestinians in the Tuffah neighborhood in the northern Gaza Strip on Sunday, and an Israeli drone wounded four others in a separate incident in Gaza City, local Hamas-affiliated health authorities said.

Medical workers said an Israeli drone exploded on the rooftop of a multi-floor building in Gaza City, wounding four civilians in the street nearby.

The IDF did not comment on either incident.

Terrorists cross the Yellow Line in northern Gaza, killed in IAF strike

It follows an IDF release on Saturday that stated that troops in northern Gaza identified terrorists who had crossed the Yellow Line in the area and planted an explosive.

Following the identification, the Israel Air Force struck and killed the terrorists, the military stated at the time.

Also on Saturday, US envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, where they were expected to discuss, among other things, the demilitarization of Gaza.

The meeting followed an announcement by US President Donald Trump on Thursday, in which he announced the launch of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire and the establishment of the Board of Peace.

IDF strikes Hezbollah terrorists in south Lebanon

Also on Sunday, the IDF carried out airstrikes on a weapons production site and other terror infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, the military said in a statement that afternoon.

The strikes were carried out in the Bir al-Sansal region and the Bekaa Valley, according to the statement.

The IDF on Sunday also said it struck a Hezbollah terrorist in the Al-Bazouriyah region of south Lebanon.

"The activity of Hezbollah terrorists at these sites constitutes a violation of the ceasefire understandings between Israel and Lebanon," the IDF statement concluded.
