Sirens sounded in northern Israel on Wednesday afternoon after Hezbollah fired rockets from Lebanon, with additional sirens sounding later on Wednesday.

In the first round of sirens, a fragment from an intercepted rocket fell in an open area, causing no injuries, according to Israeli media.

A report by Maariv noted that the sirens in Kiryat Shmona had specifically been identified as false alarms.

Iran fires missiles at Israel overnight after start of ceasefire

Iran launched missiles toward Israel early Wednesday morning, hours after US President Donald Trump announced a two-week ceasefire involving the US, Israel, and Iran, with alerts continuing in Israel after the truce was announced.

On Tuesday, several locations in central Israel were hit by fragments from an Iranian missile following a launch towards the region, according to reports received by Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah.

The Rosh Ha'ayin Municipality stated that there was significant damage to both residences and a pedestrian street across the city.

MDA posted footage of damage in central Israel, appearing to show a flipped-over car and other damage in the area, with Walla later identifying the location as Ramat Hasharon.

Despite the damage, no injuries were reported.
