After dying of brain tumor, IDF soldier's organs save 6 lives
19-year-old Lee Hasin had a benign brain tumor and was unable to be saved by surgery.

The parents of a 19-year-old soldier who suffered brain and respiratory death during surgery for a benign tumor donated his organs and saved six people.Lee Hasin, who served in an artillery unit, had signed an ADI organ donor card. When neurosurgeons at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer were unable to remove the tumor and he died, the parents agreed to donate his organs.The heart went to a 55-yearold man, two lungs to a 54-year-old man and his liver to a woman at the Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Campus in Petah Tikva. A liver lobe was given to a five-year-old boy and a kidney to an 18-year-old girl at Schneider Children’s Medical Center in Petah Tikva and a kidney to a 45-year-old woman at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.All operations were successful.
