High Court temporarily freezes house demolition of Barkan terrorist family
Temporary freeze sparks backlash from politicians.

The High Court of Justice temporarily froze the demolition of the home belonging to the Barkan terrorist, pending a hearing on both sides of the issue, according to media reports Thursday.Earlier this month, 23 year-old Ashraf Walid Suleiman Na’alwa shot dead Kim Levengrond-Yehezkel, 29, of Rosh Ha’ayin, and Ziv Hagbi, 35, from Rishon Lezion at work in the Barkan industrial zone.He is also suspected of shooting a third woman, seriously injuring her.The IDF announced earlier this week that it was going to partially demolish the Na’alwa’s family’s home.The High Court decision does not mean that the demolition was blocked – it typically approves the vast majority of demolitions requested by the IDF. Rather, it means that it wishes to hear the family’s arguments against the demolition before it rules.Although the freeze was temporary, a range of politicians and groups on the Right framed the decision as the court protecting terrorists’ families.
