Two IDF troops were lightly wounded early Thursday morning in an exchange of fire with a Palestinian policeman during an operation in the West Bank city of Kalkilya. The soldiers entered the area in order to arrest terror suspects when they came under fire from one of the houses. The two soldiers were wounded by shrapnel. The force returned fire, moderately wounding the shooter, a Palestinian policeman. The IDF was in contact with the Palestinian Authority in order to facilitate a joint investigation of the incident. Meanwhile, soldiers operating in the West Bank overnight Wednesday arrested 26 Palestinian fugitives. The suspects were taken by security forces for interrogation.
