A 22-year-old resident of the Arab-Israeli town of Tira was killed Tuesday when he was shot by two masked assailants.
The man, who was known to police, was evacuated to Kfar Saba's Meir Hospital in a serious condition, but died shortly after of his wounds.
The gunmen fled the scene, and police launched an investigation into the shooting.
The apparent murder was the 13th in Israel this month.
The shooting came two days after a 20-year-old man was shot in the leg and moderately wounded near a mosque in Tira.
