US President Donald Trump said that the US will work with Iran to establish a "very productive regime change," during upcoming ceasefire talks, in a Wednesday Truth Social post.

He added that the talks will focus on tariff and sanctions relief and claimed that many of America's 15 points were already agreed upon.

"The United States will work closely with Iran, which we have determined has gone through what will be a very productive regime change," Trump wrote.

"There will be no enrichment of Uranium, and the United States will, working with Iran, dig up and remove all of the deeply buried (B-2 Bombers) Nuclear 'Dust.' It is now, and has been, under very exacting satellite surveillance (Space Force). Nothing has been touched since the date of the attack."

He later posted that any country "supplying military weapons to Iran will be immediately tariffed, on any and all goods sold to the United States of America, 50%, effective immediately," adding that there would be "no exclusions nor exceptions."

Trump told ABC News on Wednesday morning that the US may seek to work together with Iran to safeguard the Strait of Hormuz.

"We're thinking of doing it as a joint venture. It's a way of securing it - also securing it from lots of other people," he told ABC when asked if he would allow Iran to require a fee for transit and shipping through the strait.

Vance warns of consequences for failed talks

US Vice President JD Vance said Wednesday that Trump instructed the American negotiating team to engage “in good faith” in talks with Iran, as a fragile ceasefire continues to hold.

He warned Tehran that failure to do the same would have consequences.

“If the Iranians don't engage in good faith, they're going to find out that President Trump is not one to mess around,” Vance said.

Speaking in Budapest, Vance said the current pause in fighting is based on a mutual understanding between the US and its allies to halt attacks on Iran, describing the situation as a “fragile truce.”

He also noted that Iran has agreed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, despite reports suggesting continued violence at the key global shipping route.
