A-G: Ramon as finance minister 'hard to justify'

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was told by Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz's office that appointing MK Haim Ramon as finance minister would be hard to justify to the High Court, Channel Two reported on Monday. Also according to the report, Ramon turned down an offer from Olmert to be a minister-without-portfolio in charge of negotiations with the Palestinians, because he was concerned that Defense Minister Ehud Barak would block his access.
