Arab MKs in Lebanon on 'solidarity mission'

The three members of the Balad party, MKs Azmi Bishara, Jamal Zahalka and Wasal Taha, arrived in Lebanon Thursday for a two-day visit to express solidarity with Lebanese who suffered as a result of the war between Israel and Hizbullah. The Arab legislators are scheduled to meet with Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora, government officials and religious leaders to discuss the war and its political consequences in the region. Attorney General Menahem Mazuz this week instructed police to open an investigation into the MKs' trip to Syria. By law, travel to an enemy state must be authorized in advance by the interior ministry. Bishara is already under investigation for a visit to Lebanon about two months ago.
