Bird flu spreads to two more Israel communities

On Monday morning veterinarians from the Agriculture Ministry reported that bird flu had in all likelihood spread to two more Israeli communities in the western Negev. The two communities, Nir Oz and Amir Oz, are very close to the kibutzim where bird flu has already been confirmed. According to Israel Radio, Chanoch Yoval, a poultry expert in the Negev, criticized the Agriculture Ministry, saying that it isn't destroying infected birds quickly enough. He added that the Ministry hasn't even started destroying birds at Kibbutz Nachshon. The Agriculture Ministry denied Yoval's accusations, saying that they were untrue.
