Border Policeman injured in fence stoning

Scores of Palestinians pelted police with stones Tuesday near the construction site of the security barrier going up by the Jerusalem suburb of Mevaseret Zion, police said. A border policeman was lightly injured in his leg by a stone and was evacuated for medical treatment. Police fired tear gas to disperse the rioters. In a separate incident, dozens of Palestinian residents from the Shuafat refugee camp on the outskirts of Jerusalem pelted police with stones, police said. There were no injuries reported there, but a police jeep was damaged in the stoning. Police used stun grenades to disperse the crowd.
