Scores of Palestinians pelted police with stones Tuesday near the construction site of the security barrier going up by the Jerusalem suburb of Mevaseret Zion, police said.
A border policeman was lightly injured in his leg by a stone and was evacuated for medical treatment.
Police fired tear gas to disperse the rioters.
In a separate incident, dozens of Palestinian residents from the Shuafat refugee camp on the outskirts of Jerusalem pelted police with stones, police said.
There were no injuries reported there, but a police jeep was damaged in the stoning. Police used stun grenades to disperse the crowd.
