Border policeman stoned near J'lem security fence

An Israeli border police officer was lightly wounded Wednesday after being stoned by Palestinians near a section of the security barrier being erected on the outskirts of Jerusalem, police said. The officer, who was struck in the head, was evacuated to Hadassah-University Hospital at Ein Kerem for treatment. Police officers fired tear gas and stun grenades to disperse the rioters in the late-afternoon incident that occurred near the Shuafat refugee camp in northern Jerusalem.
