A 48-year-old Moldovan caregiver was indicted Wednesday in a Jerusalem court for allegedly abusing and neglecting her 68-year-old paralyzed employer who is confined to a wheelchair, police said. The caregiver is suspected of tying the elderly woman to her wheelchair while she went to out to the post office to carry out her own personal affairs for several hours. The woman who tried to break free fell down and injured herself in her home. The caregiver fled the house, and was arrested Tuesday at Ben-Gurion International Airport trying to leave the country.
