Comptroller to probe whether Dalia Itzik misappropriated resources

The State Comptroller's Office confirmed that they were looking in to anonymous allegations made against former Knesset speaker and current Labor MK Dalia Itzik, which may concern claims that she misappropriated Knesset resources in the course of renovating her Jerusalem house. Since the Comptroller's Report was presented to the Knesset last week rumors have circulated that State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss has been probing the Knesset, including high-ranking officials - and that an ongoing battle has been waged between Knesset administrators and Lindenstrauss's office as to the extent of parliamentary privilege.
