Weapons smuggled over the Egyptian border into Israel find their way into criminal hands, an Israel Police report stated Tuesday.
According to Israel Radio, the report revealed that crime organizations that smuggle drugs and prostitutes also deal in missiles, grenades, and guns, which are then employed in internecine criminal fighting.
Recently, the IDF, Shin-Bet, and the police have decided to work together more closely to overcome problems of defective information and lack of personnel in preventing smuggling.
