Eitan hints at large-scale military op against Hamas

Outgoing Pensioners Affairs Minister and security cabinet member Rafi Eitan hinted Tuesday that he didn't expect there to be a cabinet vote in the afternoon's meeting on the Gilad Schalit issue and indicated that eventually, Israel may have to embark on a large-scale military operation against Hamas.
"The question is whether there will be anything to vote on," he told Army Radio. "The cabinet is only one side of the coin."
"But ultimately, there is no room for a radical movement like Hamas," he continued. "Sooner or later, any [future] government will have to consider dealing with the matter much more aggressively."
