'Ethiopian olim earn average of NIS 2,000 a month'

The Bank of Israel issued a recommendation that all of the olim (immigrants) from Ethiopia be dispersed and resettled into established neighborhoods in order to assist the local authorities which are backing them. The report published by the Bank of Israel sheds light on the ominous economic and social situation of the Ethiopian olim, which is below that of other olim sectors. Israel Radio reported on Wednesday morning that Ethiopian olim earn an average of NIS 2,000 a month, which is one of the reasons for integration.
