Finance Minister Bar-On fires Accountant-General Yaron Zalika

Finance Minister Ronnie Bar-On announced Thursday morning that the ministry's embattled Accountant-General, Dr. Yaron Zalika, will have his contract terminated as of the end of October.
According to a statement released Thursday by the Finance Ministry, "The Minister values the principle of rotating terms of office, and that a four-year term was reasonable and honorable, and worthy of ending on time.
"The Minister thanked Dr. Zalika for his contribution to the Finance Ministry and the Israeli economy."
