Bank of Israel Governor Stanley Fischer said Saturday that he does not expect Hamas's electoral victory to have a significant impact on the Israeli economy.
Speaking to the International Herald Tribune, Fischer said that Israel's aim to maintain an economic growth rate of 5.2 percent would not be harmed.
He also expressed the opinion that Israel should refrain from talking to Hamas unless the group recognizes Israel's right to exist and denounces terror.
