Foreign Ministry director-general resigns

Foreign Ministry Director-General Aaron Abramovich announced Sunday night that he was resigning from public service and leaving his post. He had been expected to lead Kadima leader Tzipi Livni's inner circle should she succeed in forming a government. As Livni thanked Abramovich on Sunday night for his work in advancing the nation's diplomatic agenda, he in turned thanked her for the confidence she had placed in him. Abramovich also expressed his gratitude to the diplomats who had worked for him.
