Foreign worker confesses to throwing stillborn baby in J'lem garbage bin

A 32-year-old Moldovan foreign worker was under arrest Sunday for allegedly throwing her stillborn baby in a Jerusalem trash can, police said. The woman, who turned herself in to police, told investigators that the baby was born dead, and that after keeping him in her bag for two days she threw him out in a garbage bin near her home in the city's Katamonim neighborhood last week, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. The worker will be brought to a Jerusalem court on Monday for a remand extension hearing.
