Girl shot near IDF base regains consciousness

A significant improvement was noted in the condition of the Beduin girl who was shot in the head last week, Soroka Hospital in Beersheba reported on Monday. The girl was shot near an IDF base in Tze'elim and was transferred to Soroka Hospital seriously injured, with the bullet still lodged in her brain. Following a surgical procedure in the emergency unit of the hospital, the girl regained consciousness and a slow return to normal functioning. On Saturday she was transferred from the emergency unit to the neurosurgical unit of the hospital.
