The government is expected Sunday morning to okay the re-establishment of a new police unit, "Etgar", which will combat the growing phenomenon of vehicle theft.
The unit's activities were stopped three years ago after a significant drop in the number of vehicle thefts, but due to a renewed increase of 15 percent in the number of vehicle break-ins in the last year, the police requested that the unit be re-established.
