The Supreme Court on Monday sentenced a Tel Aviv resident convicted of killing a pedestrian while driving drunk to six years imprisonment.
The convict, Andrei Nafomniatzche, fled the scene of the accident, which occurred on the highway in between Petah Tikva and Lehud Hasharon, Army Radio reported.
In his verdict, Justice Elazar Rivlin said that within the scope of cases in which a car accident caused the death of another, this one was among the worst.
