IAF jets alerted when Delta plane loses contact with control tower

IAF jets were alerted to the skies on Saturday after a commercial aircraft making its way to Israel lost contact with the control tower at Ben Gurion Airport.
The American Delta Airlines plane was carrying 105 passengers en route to Lod when a technical malfunction prevented the pilot from speaking with ground staff.
The plane eventually made a safe landing at the airport. No injuries or damage were reported.
