An IAF pilot has been demoted from the rank of major to private and will be discharged from service after completing a 30-day jail sentence he is serving for possession of cocaine.
Based on a plea bargain in the case, the pilot will only face charges of unbecoming conduct and not criminal charges.
The pilot's attorneys suggested their client had suffered combat stress while flying missions over Lebanon.
