Israeli warplanes scrambled to escort a small Turkish plane to a Haifa airport Wednesday evening after it deviated from its flight plan, the military said.
The plane was carrying four Israeli passengers, the military said. The flight originated in Turkey, but after the pilot strayed from his planned route, two Israeli warplanes escorted the plane to its original destination, a civilian airport near the northern Israeli port of Haifa.
