IDF declares Erez Crossing a closed military zone, denies access to area

The IDF on Monday morning declared the area around the Erez Crossing between Israel and the Gaza Strip a closed military zone, following warning of a possible Palestinian attempt to storm the border with Israel during a planned "human chain" demonstration.
According to reports, the army was also laying barbed wire across the road to Erez from Kibbutz Yad Mordechai to prevent Israelis from approaching the area.
