IDF and Palestinian security forces were digging on both sides of the security fence near the Karni crossing on the Gaza border, in light of information stating that terrorist organizations had dug an explosives-filled tunnel in the area.
The Karni crossing was closed to traffic, Army Radio reported, as searches were conducted in the area. No underground passages was found yet.
About a month ago, IDF forces discovered a tunnel near the Erez crossing used for weapons-smuggling - the first found since the disengagement was implemented.
