Israeli dies after transplant in China

Uzi Raveh, former director of Bank Yahav, died in China after undergoing a heart transplant, it was learned on Thursday. Raveh, 67, could not get a donor heart in Israel, as 120 Israelis are waiting for one and fewer than 20 are donated in a year. Raveh, who reportedly had a severe case of heart disease with clogged peripheral vessels, did not wake up after his surgery. His family had sent him to China as a last resort.
