Knesset Chairman Dalia Itzik met with UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon in New York, and called on him to work for the removal of Iran from the UN, Israel Radio reported Wednesday morning.
Ban agreed, saying that the utterances of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad were "intolerable," and that a member of the UN should be allowed to call for the destruction of another member state.
Itzik also urged Ban to give UNFIL a wider mandate so that the force would be strengthened against Hizbullah.
