National Infrastructures Minister Uzi Landau called the Golan Heights the "faucet" of Israel and a strategic asset during a tour of the area on Tuesday.
"If you look at the Golan Heights and its reservoirs strategically, then you can see that it is the faucet of Israel. During a time of energy and water
crises, we will be investing in water and energy projects, especially in the Golan," he said.
The ministry has plans to establish a 125 MW wind
farm in the area.
