Left-wing activists protest against Gaza operation

Several dozen left-wing activists protested late Thursday outside the Prime Minister's Residence in Jerusalem against the ongoing Israeli assault against Hamas in Gaza, police said.
The peaceful demonstration ended without incident.
Meanwhile, a coalition of far-left groups opposed to the operation, including Gush Shalom Yesh Gvul and Women in Black, petitioned the High Court of Justice Thursday against police's refusal to grant them a permit to hold a major demonstration in Tel Aviv on Saturday night, an attorney for the coalition said.
