Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman met US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton in Washington on Wednesday night.
Lieberman's deputy, Danny Ayalon, predicted that the settlement issue would be raised during the meeting, although "not as a contentious issue."
"The Americans also want to find a practical, acceptable solution," said Ayalon prior to the meeting.
