A 30-year-old man was critically injured on Sunday night in what appeared to be a hit-and-run accident near the Ashdod port junction.
The man was found lying by the side of the road, where a Magen David Adom emergency unit tended to his wounds and evacuated him to Rehovot's Kaplan Hospital for treatment.
Police were investigating the incident.
