'Mashaal wants to handle Shalit like Ron Arad'

Hamas leader in Damascus Khaled Mashaal was planning on making kidnapped IDF soldier Cpl. Gilad Shalit "disappear," security officials assessed on Wednesday. The officials stated that "Mashaal saw Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah as a role model, and wanted to handle Cpl. Shalit like the Hizbullah leader handled Ron Arad," Army Radio reported. Ron Arad was an IAF navigator who fell into Hizbullah hands when his plane was shot down some 20 years ago.
