Mazuz: Olmert holding finance post 'problematic'

Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz ruled on Sunday that it was "problematic" for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to hold the post of acting finance minister, due to the current investigations against him. Olmert accepted the position after Avraham Hirchson suspended himself from the post until the end of an inquiry into allegations that he was involved in embezzlement. In response to a petition from watchdog group Ometz, Mazuz ordered Olmert to appoint a different finance minister to replace Hirchson.
