Mofaz: Lack of experience caused Israel to lose war 1st time in history

Lack of experience is what led to Israel losing a war for the first time in the country's history, Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz told Channel 2 on Saturday. Mofaz said that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, former defense minister Amir Peretz and then-IDF chief of General Staff Dan Halutz were short of the experience required to handle the Second Lebanon War. Addressing the political scene, Mofaz said that he believed holding general elections at this point would not help to stabilize the state. When elections are held, Mofaz added, he planned to run.
