Netanyahu: Gov't talks about a Jewish majority but is strangling it

The government has practically frozen construction in the settlements to the point of not accommodating for their natural growth, opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu said in a Likud faction meeting Monday.. Netanyahu continued by saying that "everyone is talking about a Jewish majority but [really] they're strangling it", adding that "the government is freezing Jewish settlement while simultaneously encouraging Palestinian settlement." Netanyahu reiterated his call on Shas to leave the government. "The Olmert government is quickly advancing toward an agreement of principles that will place Jerusalem and the security of the country in danger," Netanyahu said. He went on to challenge Shas by asking them what they are "doing in this coalition," adding that it was time for them to "leave it now."
