Prime Minister Ehud Olmert headed back to Israel on Wednesday after meeting with US President George W. Bush.
Speaking to Israeli reporters, Olmert said that there was no reason a war should break out, since "neither Israel nor Syria wants it," Israel Radio reported.
He emphasized, however, that "sometimes speculation can cause misunderstandings."
