Jerusalem Police released on bail on Sunday seven Hamas members, including the two Parliament members Muhammad Abu Tir and Muhammad Atum.
The Palestinian officials were detained earlier in the evening under suspicion that they were planning a Hamas rally at a soccer stadium in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Sur Bahir, even though it was forbidden.
The police reaffirmed the prohibition against the event, Israel Radio reported.
