Police sappers detonate bomb found in car in Holon

Police sappers detonated an explosive device that had been planted in an abandoned car on Pinhas Lavon Street in Holon.
Police said that the motive for appeared to have been criminal, Army Radio reported.
"A citizen stopped a police car that was driving through the area and alerted [the police] to a suspicious car parked nearby," Ayalon area police chief Aharon Aksol said.
Police ran checks on the vehicle and discovered that it was stolen. Sappers were called to the scene and safely detonated an explosive device found in the car.
Police said it was not yet clear who planted the bomb and whom it was targeted at.
