Religious anti-gay pride march set for TA Thursday

A first of its kind parade will take place in Tel Aviv Thursday afternoon as religious marchers will offer their answer to the gay pride parade. The parade, held last year in Jerusalem, caused a high amount of tension between religious sects and gay rights activists. The parade will take place at the Tel Aviv promenade (Tayelet) and is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. and continue until 5:30 p.m. Police expect heave traffic congestion in the area.
