Activists in the struggle for the release of captive IDF soldier Gilad Schalit criticized Prime Minister Ehud Olmert Monday evening, following his decision to release 250 Palestinian prisoners from Fatah as a goodwill gesture to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
"It is another example of the weakness of the prime minister… who continues to ingratiate the PA," Army Radio quoted them as saying.
"More than a thousand Palestinian prisoners have been released with nothing in return, as though there's no Israeli soldier who's been held captive in Gaza for two and a half years already."
