Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Knesset Member Shimon Peres have called a joint news conference for Sunday afternoon.
This is the first time the two men will appear in public together since Peres announced last week that he will leave Labor and support Sharon's new party, Kadima, Israel Radio reported.
In Labor, it appears that former prime minister Ehud Barak will not compete in the party's primaries for a Knesset list.
